On this episode of NMOSD Master Class, Dr. Benjamin Greenberg from UT Southwestern, provides a critical review of the issues related to adjudicating relapses both in clinic and in clinical trials. Often the primary outcome of clinical trials in NMO is a relapse, but different definitions have been used over time. Additionally, in clinic it can be difficult to determine what clinical events constitute a relapse. Review the processes used to classify symptoms as new relapses or not is very important to both clinicians and researchers within the greater NMO community.
